Our Story
About us
Experience of Humans started with a simple problem. Anxiety made it hard to talk to people. Sweaty palms and a racing heart or words that got stuck before they reached the mouth. Making friends felt impossible in a world moving too fast to notice anyone struggling quietly.
The one thing that made it easier was clothing. A cool jacket and a bold graphic tee or a pair of shoes worth complimenting. Fashion became an icebreaker long before it became a business.
That idea grew into Experience of Humans brand built on mental health awareness and real connection. Founded in Buffalo, New York in 2017, we design apparel that gives people a reason to talk to each other. Look for our silicone tags. They mark pieces from our Emotional Support series and help our community recognize each other in a crowd.
We're not trying to be another luxury streetwear brand chasing hype. We're building something people can lean on. A place where mental health support and street style exist in the same sentence and where a T-shirt can be the start of a conversation someone needed to have.
FAQs
We're a streetwear brand out of Buffalo, New York. The whole thing is built around mental health awareness, but we didn't want to make another brand that just slaps a message on a shirt and calls it a day. Every piece is meant to actually give someone a reason to talk to another person.
This is our main line and it is marked with a small silicone tag. If you spot someone wearing one means that is your sign and they are part of the community. Think of it as a quiet nod between strangers who get it.
Honestly, because starting a conversation with a stranger is hard. It's a lot easier when you've got something to compliment first, a jacket, a shirt, whatever catches your eye. That's actually the whole reason this brand exists. One compliment on someone's outfit turned into a real friendship, and the idea just grew from there.
Head over to the Groups section on the site. There are threads on different topics, so find one that fits what you're dealing with and read through it, or just jump in yourself. If nothing on there matches, start your own. People show up.
Nope, not at all. The community and the clothing run alongside each other, but you don't need one to access the other.
It's not. We're a clothing and community brand, not a licensed mental health provider, and the groups are peer support, people talking to people. If you're dealing with something serious, please reach out to an actual professional.

Just email info@experienceofhumans.com. It is the quickest way to get help with an order or anything else on your mind.
Not really, no. We care more about what a piece says than what it costs, though we are not cutting corners on quality either.
We'd genuinely love that. Email the team and let them know you want to be featured. A lot of what keeps this whole thing going is real people sharing what they have actually been through.
